Homepage

This is the website for the Glamorgan Drama League: an umbrella organisation for local theatre groups in South Wales and one of the UK's most active amateur drama associations.

GDL delegates' meetings are held usually every two months or so.

All member groups are encouraged to support these meetings.

Details of meetings are usually circulated by email.

The League covers the geographical area formerly defined by the old county of Glamorgan (which means Swansea and the Gower in the west, Cardiff to the east, and as far north as Merthyr).

We currently have 11 fully-paid up adult member groups, as well as 5 youth groups, and several individual members, but are always keen to welcome more.  Take a look at our list of current members.

We have two major areas of on-going activity:

  • The Glammies  - an annual evening of review and celebration of the best of the year's work
  • One-Act Festival  - our local round of the national One-Act play competition
