The Glammies

Details on what the Glammies is all about are on our Glammies page.

Want information about the current Glammies year 2010-11?

Short Cuts
* Need an entry form for a show?
* Need an Appraisers' Marking Form? You'll need the Marking Guidelines to go with it.

The League covers the geographical area formerly defined by the old county of Glamorgan (which means Swansea and the Gower in the west, Cardiff to the east, and as far north as Merthyr).

We currently have 14 fully-paid up member groups, including 5 youth groups, and several individual members, but are always keen to welcome more.  Take a look at our list of current members, and what the GDL and its members are up to by checking out the News page.

You can also use the links to find out more about us and about our history.

We have two major areas of on-going activity:

  • The Glammies  - an annual evening of review and celebration of the best of the year's work
  • One-Act Festival  - our local round of the national One-Act play competition

We would be delighted to hear from you - perhaps you'd like to perform at one of our festivals, or you've an idea for a training weekend - do use our Contact page for the details on how to reach us.

Check out our links page.  If you'd like a link to this page (whether or not you can include us on your site) please let the webmaster know.

One-Act Play Festivals

General information about One-Act Festivals is on our One-Act page.

NB: An overview of our recent Glamorgan is now available.

Photos to follow shortly.

Details about entering shows for the 2011 festival are not yet available, but will be posted on this site as soon as they are.

Please let us know about your news or your productions. They don't have to be entered in the Glammies to be included on this site.

Please contact the webmaster with details of the show, images etc.
