So you've seen the show, you know what you think and it's time to put it all down on paper...
There are 4 documents - all Microsoft Word documents - to help you. Click on the links for more info and for links to the documents themselves:
Blank Appraisers' Form (which includes a marking sheet) This is the news form successfully introduced in 2009-10. Please note the marking sheet should be completed using the Marking Guidelines sheet (the Marking 'descriptors'). This will allow all appraisers to be using the same criteria in the same manner.
For future use, there's a shortcut to the Glammies marking forms on the homepage, in the Glammies box on the right hand side of the page.
Suggestions for completing an Appraisers' Form
Guidance for the new (and not so new!) Appraiser
(Please note our Microsoft Word documents are checked regularly for viruses and other nasties. To the best of our knowledge they are squeaky clean and you're safe to download them. )
Download our blank Appraisers' Form which you can then complete on your computer as and how you feel appropriate. Don't feel constrained by the size of the boxes, they'll expand to the length of your comments. You can then email your completed form to the Moderator as an attachment. You can delete or leave empty any lines you don't need. Don't forget page 2, the Marking Form. To complete the new marking form you'll need a Guidelines form which is available here.
Not comfortable using the Appraisers' Form? You are more than welcome to submit your report without boxes, but we will love you for ever if you could use the same headings when you write. If you are able, please submit your typed report as an attachment to an email.
Not comfortable with emailing attachments? If you use the headings, you could copy and paste your report directly into an email.
Not comfortable with the idea of using a computer at all? Hand-written or typed copy is always acceptable, but at its most acceptable when you use the same subject headings as are included in our Appraisers' Form. Copies on paper are available from our Appraisers' Co-ordinator, Annette Littlechild. Send her an email or give her a call on 07855 813141 to to let her know you'd like a set of everything on paper and she'll send one to you.
The Marking Form
This was revised in 2008-09, to bring our marking scheme in line with that used by GODA adjudicators around the country. You will need to complete it using the Guidelines as reference. (updated 16.09.09)
You can complete it electronically, and include it with your appraisal. Or, if you prefer, you could print it off (or get a paper copy from Annette), complete it by hand and post it to the Moderator.
We really don't want to tell you what to write. Really, we don't. We want your opinions and your suggestions. But we all know that, sometimes, we just can't quite think what to write about. That's what this sheet is for. A few topics, a few pointers, and you'll soon be back on track.
Some very useful pointers about why we do this and what we should be aiming to achieve. It's also got some logistical information about completing forms and then submitting them on time. Essential reading!
We're always happy to develop the system, based on suggestions from members. If you've got an idea you think should be incorporated, please let us know. Email us your thoughts on info@glamorgandrama.org |
