Dates: Thursday 23rd - Friday 24th March starting at 7.30pm both nights.

And Saturday 25th March 2017 starting at 7pm.

Venue: The Savoy Theatre, Collenna Road, Tonyrefail, Rhondda Cynon Taf CF39 8EL

Consultation day at the theatre will be: Saturday 11 March.

Tickets cost £7 per night (£6 for concessions), but a special 3-night Festival Ticket is available at £15.

in person or by calling 01443 670250. The Box Office is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 11am and 5.30pm.

Details for booking for the Wales Final Festival, at The Hafren in Newtown on 2 & 3 June, will be available from the Drama Association of Wales website.


Awards at the 2017 Glamorgan Festival :

The David Davies Memorial Trophy for the adult production attaining the highest marks in the competition

Bob McTurk Memorial Trophy for Best Director

Best Individual Performance Award

The Bea Wells Memorial Trophy for the Best Comedy Performance

Youth Trophy for the best performance by an actor aged 25 or under- donated by Mari Major

The Jean Howell Trophy Adjudicator's Award

The GDL Lifetime Award

The 6 highest scoring productions across the whole of Wales will be selected to perform at the Wales Final Festival in Newtown on 2 & 3 June.

The awards are :
The Maynard Cup - Best Overall Production (Festival winner)
The Elf Oil Trophy - Best Individual Performance
The Bernleigh Award - Best Presentation
The Robert Fowler Unsung Hero Award - for work backstage

The rest of the awards from the festival:

The Bob McTurk Bursary for the Most Promising Actor aged 18-25 in the regional rounds
DAW Youth Bursaries - Most Promising Actors aged 18-15 in the regional rounds.
The Crawshay Cup - Best Original Script receiving its premiere in the Regional Area Rounds
The DAW Lifetime Achievement Award - in honour of Angela Tidswell.


British Final Festival of One-Act Plays: 7th & 8th July, 2017 at The Mac Theatre, Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Adjudicator will be Walker Ewart, GIDA.


Winners of the Glamorgan One-Act Play Festival will be eligible for consideration for the annual British All-Winners Festival organised by National Drama Festivals Association (NDFA). The 44th British All Winners Drama Festival
at will be held in The Lamproom Theatre, Westgate, Barnsley, S70 2DX from Monday 17th to Sunday 23rd July 2017.
